The Sleeve

A Closer Examination of the Crime Scene Sleeve

Since this partial sleeve was found at the crime scene, locating its origin/owner may lead us to the killer.

1. Sleeve image originally released by the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office in 2009.

2. Composite of the shirt. Created by this blog Administrator. Starting with the partial sleeve image above, Photoshop was used to brighten the image and remove stains & wrinkles. Following its unique zig-zag repeating design, the pattern was duplicated and layered under a shirt outline.

4. Update 7.17.2022

A fellow Citizen Detective at Uncovered.com ran my shirt composite and the sleeve images through several clothing and fabric databases. His database resulted in a possible hit for a 90s style Alpaca Jumper (aka pullover). Here are some images he found that looks similar to the composite. What do you think?

5. How you can help

  1. Have you or someone you know owned a shirt like this one?
  2. Do you have or have you seen a picture of this shirt?
  3. Can you positively identify a clothing company that makes shirts using this type of design?
6. Locating vintage clothing retailers

The pullover was made before 1999, thus narrowing the search to vintage clothing retailers would be a good start. Below are online links that contain vintage clothing.

  1. Old Sears and JC Penney Catalogs
  2. Etsy
  3. Ebay
  4. Vintage Fashion Guild
  5. Local vintage clothing retailers in your area
